EasyRiders Magazine | Issue 583
This year I have been blown away to be featured in the classic and most iconic biker magazine ‘EasyRiders’. Not only a front page mention but a whole 5 pages on me and my journey and life as an artist. Get to know about my journey and where it all started in the write up. Physical copies available in the UK and America.

The write up. Take 5…
I am a bit of a Tomboy and my love for bikes started from a very young age. Instead of Barbie dolls, it would be an action man (G.I. Joe) or a Hot Wheels car. And when I got slightly older, I collected Harley-Davidson Models. This led me to have a real interest in anything with an engine. I managed to get my dream job after graduating from Kingston University BA Graphic Design) at a Harley-Davidson dealership as a creative designer. For them, I would create all sorts of stuff, but mainly custom paint designs as well as merchandise such as clothing. The custom paint jobs I created were what stood out in that time. I absolutely loved it. And being part of some of the best custom bikes in the world was a true honor. I have owned and rebuilt several cars (Mainly Classic MG's) and refurbished a 1958 Dutch Steel boat which I lived on for four years. I also bought a VW T4 van and renovated it into my own camper van. I love travelling to different places in the UK or abroad, by land or sea. My biggest adventure which has inspired my work, was my solo trip to Australia.
In January 2022, I quit my job, packed my bags, and booked a one-way ticket to Australia. I travelled from Sydney all the way up the East Coast. It took about three or four months for me to realise that I wanted to work for myself as an artist. I decided to live in Noosa, Queensland for the rest of the year and made a promise to myself to never work for someone full time ever again unless it was for me.
I surfed for hours on end, days upon days, for months, and worked at Deus Ex Machina shop in Noosa Heads. So, life was pretty sweet. I did a lot of sign writing for them which was great fun. Deus has got to be one of my favourite brands of all time.My life was all about surfing, custom bikes, coffee, and graphic design. Everything that I am passionate about. I produced lots of work while in Noosa. I designed custom surf fins, custom boards, commissions, sign-writing and so many tattoo designs for travellers I met along the way. My visa ended and I flew to Bali for just under a month. A dream of mine was to visit Deus's Shop in Canguu "Temple of Enthusiasm' so I did that. I got home to the UK mid February 2023 and put my head down to create a life that I wanted and started the journey of becoming a full-time artist. Today I am still on this journey and loving it.
As for drawing bikes, because I am passionate about them, I like to draw them. And like most art pieces of mine, I can already see what it looks like before it's even started. So that's what excites me. One thing I love about my drawings are how imperfectly perfect they are. When you look closer, the detail isn't perfect, but it allows the drawing to have so much character. And that wild freehand line just sits much better than it would if it were straight or produced by using a ruler.
My largest commission to date must have been to be drawing eleven framed Custom Harley-Davidsons for a guy I met at the Margate 101 Run back in July 2023. Also, towards the end of the year, producing some designs for an Australian Surf Brand called 'Golden Breed'. They will be released this year sometime around April.
I have many things planned for this year. The 101 Run in Margate, the Macs Farm, and South West Chopper Fest, to name a few. Since the start of the year, I've also been handpicking coffee shops to feature my artwork in, so next time you are in Brighton, you might see some work of mine. You can also always view my mural and artwork in Lewes at "The Skate Society' skate shop.
As you can hopefully see, my creative design and drawing skills range from producing bespoke pieces of artwork to larger commissioned DIY projects.
